Terms of Service
Effective October 18, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Clown O Gram (the "Service," "we," "us"). By placing an order you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy.
1. What the Service is
Clown O Gram is a novelty and prank greeting service. We print and mail a one-page letter featuring a clown and, optionally, your short message. Every letter is a joke. None of our letters is an official document, government notice, legal notice, diploma, license, certificate, award, adoption record or any other real credential, and they must never be presented as one. Each letter is marked "NOVELTY – NOT AN OFFICIAL DOCUMENT."
2. Eligibility: 18+ only
You must be at least 18 years old to order. The Service is not for minors, and you may not send a Clown O Gram to anyone under 18. By paying, you confirm that you and the recipient are both 18 or older.
3. Acceptable use
- Messages must be good-natured. No harassment, threats, hate, obscenity, sexual content, impersonation, defamation, or content that targets someone's protected characteristics.
- Do not use the Service to harass, stalk, intimidate or repeatedly contact anyone, or to send mail to someone who has asked not to be contacted.
- You must provide a real recipient name and US mailing address that you are entitled to send mail to.
- No more than one anonymous letter may be sent to the same address in any 30-day period.
4. We may refuse or hold orders
We may review, hold, refuse or cancel any order at our discretion. This includes orders that appear to violate these Terms, orders to addresses on our do-not-clown list, and anonymous orders that exceed the limit above. If we refuse or cancel your order before it is mailed, we will refund it in full.
5. Do-not-clown list
Anyone can ask us to stop mailing to their address using our opt-out page or by emailing hello@clownograms.com. We will not knowingly mail to an address on that list.
6. Anonymity and disclosure
If you choose "anonymous," we leave your name off the letter and won't tell the recipient who sent it. However, we may share information about an order, including your identity, when we believe in good faith that we are legally required to: for example, in response to a subpoena, court order or valid law-enforcement request, or to protect someone from imminent harm. Anonymity is not a shield for abuse.
7. Payment and pricing
Prices are shown at checkout and include US postage. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card statement will show CLOWN O GRAM.
8. Delivery
Letters are printed and mailed by our print partner via USPS First-Class Mail. Delivery dates, including seasonal "order by" dates, are estimates and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for postal delays.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for emotional distress, lost profits or lost data, arising from or related to the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
11. Your responsibility
You are responsible for the messages you write and the recipients you choose. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
12. Disputes and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, please email hello@clownograms.com so we can try to resolve it informally; we will respond within 30 days. Any dispute that we can't resolve informally must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Fayette County, Kentucky, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Either party may bring an eligible claim in small claims court instead.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. Changes apply to orders placed after the updated Terms are posted here.
